Graduation Cap and Diploma

Scholarship Available for Class XI

CLASS XI: Scholarships are available for the students in Class XI on Admission & Tuition Fee* only based on Class-X Board Results 2025, as per the following criteria:

Category A

Students who have scored an aggregate of 85% marks and above in the BOARD Examinations are eligible for:

  • 100% fee waiver on Admission Fee

  • 50% fee waiver on Tuition Fee

Category B

Students who have scored an aggregate of 75% marks and above up to 85% in the BOARD Examinations are eligible for:

  • 75% fee waiver on Admission Fee

  • 25% fee waiver on Tuition Fee

Note: 

  • English is a compulsory subject in Class X.

  • The aggregate of the BEST FIVE should include both Language 1 and Language 2, as well as the best three from other attempted subjects, for calculating the percentage.

  • It may be strictly noted that the scholar who falls under the scholarship category must maintain attendance of at least 75%. Failing to do so will cancel the scholarship offered, and the student will have to pay the total remaining fee as per the fee structure. 

  • The scholarship is granted by the Trust running St. Michael’s School, Ranchi, to promote academic excellence among the students, and it cannot be claimed as a matter of right.

  • A scholarship under the scheme is renewable in the same stream; i.e., the course of study shall not be altered under any circumstances. 

  • All scholarships are reviewed annually to ensure that academic scholars maintain their expected standard of attainment and commitment. 

Continuity of Scholarship in Class XII

Scholarships are available for the students studying in Class XII on Tuition Fee* only based on Class-XI school results (Annual Examination) and as per the criteria mentioned below:

  1. The student secures at least 50% marks in all core subjects individually in Class XI. 

  2. The student maintains a strict attendance of at least 75% as mandated by the CBSE. 

  3. The conduct of the scholar is good, and he / she is not involved in any act of indiscipline.

Withdrawal / Cancellation of Scholarship

Scholarship may be withdrawn / cancelled at any time if:

  • A scholar does not maintain the expected academic standards based on which the scholarship was given.

  • The scholar's attendance record in the academic session is less than 75% of the total number of working days. 

  • A scholar is guilty of: 

    • indiscipline or having indulged in ragging / bullying or

    • serious misconduct, or 

    • disregarding any of the faculty / staff of St. Michael’s School, or 

    • leaving the school in between the sessions or

    • causing any breach of the code of conduct of St. Michael’s School.

  • If the scholarship is cancelled, the entire amount that has been waived off in a particular academic year shall become immediately payable, and the student shall repay the same, notwithstanding the other terms and conditions applicable to the student. 

  • Furthermore, any violation of the code of conduct at St. Michael’s School will result in disciplinary proceedings, which the school will handle.
